About Us

    The Seahawk Script is a student-run literary magazine. The students of Mr. Mark Gorey’s AP Literature and Composition class meet weekly to update the site with new and relevant articles to Boothbay Region High School. New aspects of the site for the 2016-17 is the addition of the new student-run television series, Cooking With Chef, has added a fun new aspect to the website. We, at the Seahawk Script, encourage students to explore the different tabs of the website with their friends and stay up to date on the most recent school news.

Griffin Kane

   Kane is a senior and current Editor in Chief of the Seahawk Script. Kane plays golf and tennis. He is also a member of the BRHS Math Team. He plans on going to college in the fall. You can contact him at griffinkane@csd3-brhs.org

Molly Thibault

    Thibault is in charge of keeping you up to date on all club activities and their year long goals. She participates in field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse, she is also the Vice President of the senior class and is the president of the Interact Club and Vice President of the Student Health Advisory Board. Next year Thibault hopes to attend Unity College and study Adventure-Based Environmental Education. You can contact her at mollythibault@csd3-brhs.org.

Alexis Welch

    Welch is in charge of school news along with Nicole Clarke on our website. She plays three sports, field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. Welch is involved in many things at the school and in our community, including, Interact, Leaders Club, MELMAC, NEASC, senior class president, and a member of National Honor Society. Carter Babcock

    Babcock is in charge of hosting the weekly cooking show called Cooking With Chef. He participates in football of which he is the captain, basketball, and baseball. Babcock hopes to attend college next year and major in physical therapy. You can contact him at carterbabcock@csd3-brhs.org.

Madison Stahle

    Stahle is a senior at BRHS. She is new to Boothbay Region this year and is a member of the Seahawk Script team.  She plays Field Hockey and Tennis and plans to go to college to major in Biology with a concentration in Pre-Med. You can contact her at madisonstahle@csd3-brhs.org .

Nicole Clarke

    Clarke is in charge of reporting school news for our website along with Alexis Welch. Clarke participates in field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse. She is also the secretary for her senior class and is involved in Interact Club, Leader’s Club, and a peer mentor, and also a part of National Honor Society. Chyanne Rogers

    Rogers is in charge of the creativity section of the Seahawk Script along with Angie Perkins. Rogers is part of the Boothbay Seahawk Soccer and Softball Teams. She enjoys being part of the peer mentoring program at the elementary school. Rogers is also participating in a work study at Boothbay Region Elementary School where she learns from, as well as assists, Mrs. Jones with her third-grade class. Jacob Leonard

Leonard is in charge of manning the sports page for our website along with  co-star Duncan Drapeau. Leonard enjoys participating in Golf, Basketball, Track and Field, and sunset walks along the beach. Leonard is also a class representative for his senior class and is involved in Leaders Club along with National Honors Society. After high school, he plans to ride dolphins through the Carribean. Duncan Drapeau

    Drapeau is a sports reporter for the Seahawk’s Script.  He currently a member of the varsity football team, and participates in nordic skiing in the winter, and tennis in the fall.  He is also a member of National Honors Society, and part of Boothbay’s student council.  Samuel Betts

     Betts is in charge of the featured photography as well as a contributor to Student Made works. Betts is on the Cross Country Team, Golf Team, Nordic Ski Team, and Math Team. Angie Perkins

    Perkins is in charge of the student made section along with Chyanne Rogers. Perkins will be the bridge between Ms. Hamond’s creative writing class and posting on the script. Perkins is involved in soccer, basketball, and track. She hopes to attend Swarthmore and major in classics and computer science. Editor-In-Chief of the Month: Kate Friant
 

Kate Friant

    Kate Friant is a junior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Friant is in charge of publicity and general support for the Seahawk Script. Friant participates in cross country, plays basketball and lacrosse, she is also the Vice President of the Junior class and is a member of the Interact Club, Leaders Club, and Math Team. Hannah Morley

    Hannah Morley is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Morley is Head of the Videos page with Meghan Oakes for The Seahawk Script, working on two continuing television type programs for the Fall back to School Edition. She is currently the Editor-In-Chief of the Beat the Winter Blues edition. Morley runs Cross Country, plays Basketball, and runs Track. Morley also holds a position in the National Honor Society and is Senior Class President. Morley plans on receiving postsecondary education for Pharmacy. Gretchen Elder

 Gretchen Elder is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Elder was Editor in Chief for the Fall Back to School edition of the Seahawk Script. Elder is a member of the Math Team, participates in the Drama club, and is the president of the Interact Club. She also holds a position in the National Honor Society. Elder plans on going to college somewhere in New England and majoring in Communications and Hospitality Management.  Mackenzie Colby

    Mackenzie Colby is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Colby is Head of the Creativity Page for The Seahawk Script with Ellie Demmons, pulling together student submissions for our online magazine. Colby is on the Tennis team. She enjoys volunteering, she took a trip to New Mexico last summer with Habitat for Humanity. She plans on attending college after high school. You can email her at mackenziecolby@csd3-brhs.org

Marinel “Ellie” Demmons

    Marinel Demmons is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Demmons is is charge of the Creativity section of the Seahawk Script with Mackenzie Colby. Demmons is a member of the Seahawk Women’s tennis team and is a very member of the Math Team. Camden Spear

  

     Camden Spear is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. He is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Spear is the head of the National and International Sports sections of the Seahawk Script. Spear is an avid soccer player, he is the Assistant Soccer Coach for the Seahawk girls soccer team, and he plays for the GPS Portland Phoenix U-18 elite and PDL Semi-Professional Reserve team. Gabriel Purin

    Gabriel Purin is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. He is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Purin works on the News section of the Seahawk Script with Bradford Tibbetts and Joseph Paolillo. Purin is a captain of the football team, plays baseball, and is a member of the Leaders Club and participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters. He is also the current Student Body President of BRHS.  Meghan Oakes

    Meghan Oakes is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Oakes works on the Videos sections of the Seahawk Script with Hannah Morley. Oakes is a captain of the field hockey team, will partcipate in nordic skiing this winter, and plays lacrosse. Joseph Paolillo

    Joseph Paolillo is a junior at Boothbay Region High School. He is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Paolillo works on the News section of the Seahawk Script with Bradford Tibbetts and Gabriel Purin. Paolillo participates in nordic skiing and runs on the track team. Angela Machon

    Angela Machon is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Machon is in charge of the Resources section of the Seahawk Script. Machon is captain of the nordic skiing girls team and the tennis team. Bradford Tibbetts

       Bradford Tibbetts is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. He is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Tibbetts works on the News section of the Seahawk Script with Joseph Paolillo and Gabriel Purin. Tibbetts is a competitive swimmer for the Long Reach Swim Club, he also runs a diving business, and is an avid skier. Skyler Davis

    Skyler Davis is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Davis is in charge of the Local Sports sections of the Seahawk Script. She is a captain of the field hockey team, and is the Secretary of the senior class. Lisa Pawlowski

     Lisa Pawlowski is a senior at Boothbay Region High School. She is a student in AP English Literature and Composition, taught by Mr. Mark Gorey. Pawlowski is in charge of the Events and Clubs sections of the Seahawk Script. She is a captain of the soccer team, and is a member of the track and field team. She is also a member of the Math Team, does a lot of community service and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Pawlowski plans on attending college for Business after graduation.
